Hedland School-Based Trainees shine in 2023

13 December 2023

Programmed and Hedland Senior High School are buzzing with pride and excitement with the recent, successful completion of our 2023 Year 12 School-Based Trainees.

The 2023 crop of Trainees were placed across organisations such as BHP, Monadelphous, QUBE, WA Country Health Service, Fortescue Metals Group (FMG) and Town of Port Hedland, completing the 18-month Traineeships they began in 2023.

The traineeships were as diverse as the organisations our Trainees were placed at, all finishing with a Nationally Recognised Qualification in their chosen fields of Automotive, Engineering, Allied Health, Sport & Recreation and Workplace Skills.

This not only speaks to the versatility of the program but also highlights the dedication and passion shown by the Hedland Senior High School students.

Underscoring their commitment to providing outstanding education and training opportunities, Hedland Senior High School were named as finalists in the ‘School Pathways to VET’ category at the 2023 Australian Training Awards.

We congratulate our Year 12 School-Based Trainees on their magnificent achievements to date, and look forward to witnessing their ongoing success in the future.
