Synergy, a trusted provider of electricity in Western Australia, has partnered with Programmed’s Group Training Organisation to provide employment and training opportunities for eight apprentices across 2027 and 2028 at Synergy’s Muja Power Station.
Through this partnership, apprentices will complete training at Muja Power Station, continuing its long history of electrical and mechanical engineering training. As the station approaches the end of its operational life, its experienced workforce continues to offer valuable technical knowledge and industry expertise.
Apprentices will learn directly from skilled electrical and mechanical engineering professionals while gaining exposure to a range of industries and workplaces. Participants will work towards nationally recognised trade qualifications and develop transferable skills that are in demand across the energy, utilities, manufacturing, mining and industrial sectors.
“Strong partnerships create stronger outcomes for apprentices, employers and communities. Our new alliance with Synergy provides aspiring tradespeople in Collie with access to high-quality training, meaningful employment opportunities and exposure to a range of industries. Together, we are investing in local talent and creating sustainable career pathways that will benefit the region for years to come.”
– TJ Jones, Head of Programmed, Apprenticeship & Traineeship Solutions
Programmed’s role extends beyond securing apprenticeship opportunities. Through our extensive host employer network, apprentices can continue their on-the-job training with organisations across the Southwest and beyond, helping them build broad industry experience and long-term career pathways.
For regional communities, apprenticeships deliver lasting benefits. They strengthen local workforces, create career opportunities and support future industry needs. Together with Synergy, Programmed is investing in practical training opportunities that connect people with rewarding careers and help build the skilled workforce needed for Western Australia’s energy future.
