Programmed’s Energy and Resources’ Queensland and NT conference was recently held at the Crystalbrook Flynn in Cairns.
Bringing together their branch and recruitment hub staff from across Queensland and the Northern Territory, the event enabled collaboration, exchanging of ideas, team building activities and, of course, recognition of the outstanding achievements from the past year at the conference’s Awards Night.
This year’s main team building activity was laser tag; this provided a fun and engaging experience for all involved, allowing the opportunity for team members to unwind and bond outside of the conference sessions.
Undoubtedly, the highlight of the conference was the Awards Night – recognising and celebrating individuals and teams who have shown outstanding dedication and provided amazing contributions in the previous year.
The winners were:
Safety Champion: Shane Collier
MVP: Kate Morelli
Branch of the Year:
Winner: Cairns
Finalists: Townsville, Mackay, Rockhampton, Bundaberg
Client of the Year:
Winner: Rio Tinto
Finalists: Glencore Refinery, CS Energy, Rolleston Coal, Bega Malanda
Joel Cribb, General Manager – Programmed Energy and Resources (North), said: “It is always great to see our high performing teams not only collaborate over these last couple of days to plan for FY24/25, but also stop to celebrate the wins/success they have achieved over the last 12 months.”
Dean Archbold, Executive General Manager – Programmed Energy and Resources, echoed Joel’s sentiments, describing the conference as “special” before sharing his personal highlight of the trip.
“It was a special couple of days with the QLD/NT team and I was impressed with the team culture and their focus on growth,” he said.
“A particular highlight was when the team surprised the regional manager, Peter Brown, with an award of appreciation – a sign of a great leader.
“Queensland is a state where we see opportunities and we are committed to investing, and I have great confidence in this team for the years ahead.”
